Lead regional geotechnical delivery and strategy for a dynamic, growing engineering team delivering high-quality geotechnical design for land development, commercial, and industrial projects throughout the Waikato and Bay of Plenty regions. As Principal Geotechnical Lead, you'll guide technical direction and business growth while working on technically challenging projects including site investigations, design, analysis, and construction support within a collaborative, forward-thinking environment. βœ… Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering (Washington Accord accredited) or equivalent
βœ… 15+ years of geotechnical engineering experience required
βœ… Professional Chartership and Category 1 recognition required
βœ… Proven leadership experience with demonstrated capability to shape technical direction and business growth
βœ… Strong technical expertise in geotechnical analysis, design, and reporting across various project scales
βœ… Extensive experience with site investigations, foundation and retaining structure design, slope stability analysis, and construction monitoring
βœ… Track record of managing client relationships, project resources, and quality assurance to exceptional standards
βœ… Proficiency with recognized geotechnical software, modeling tools, and best practices
βœ… Proven ability to mentor and develop engineering teams
βœ… Excellent communication, strategic thinking, and stakeholder engagement abilities
βœ… NZ residency or valid NZ work visa required (sponsorship not available)
