Role: Senior Manufacturing Engineer 🏭
Join a leading chemical manufacturing facility in Pensacola—Florida's best beach town—as a Senior Manufacturing Engineer where you'll provide engineering support to operate the unit safely and reliably while optimizing the process through advanced optimization methods and step-change technology improvements. Drive unit performance to operational entitlement with respect to yields, usages, reliability, and quality while executing A2E projects that deliver measurable improvements aligned to business financial objectives. Monitor key process indicators, troubleshoot and optimize processes, lead Root Cause Analyses, and use entitlement models to challenge and improve unit performance. This role offers excellent upward mobility with an established chemical manufacturing leader, where you'll become the technical expert on unit operations, represent the unit for all technology projects, and work with cross-functional teams including Technology, Process Engineering, and Project Engineering to deliver innovative process improvements.
Requirements: 🎓
✅ Bachelor's Degree in Engineering (Chemical, Mechanical, or Electrical preferred)
✅ 10+ years of chemical industry experience required
✅ Process optimization background with proven track record of performance improvements
✅ Experience troubleshooting in a chemical plant environment
✅ Strong knowledge of Process Safety Management (PSM) essential
✅ Experience with ASPEN products, heat transfer, hydraulics, and process modeling systems
✅ Experience using A2E (DMAIC) process and statistical tools for process improvements
✅ Strong technical and analytical skills with ability to innovate and solve complex problems
✅ Six Sigma training (Green or Black Belt) preferred, certification a plus
✅ Experience with PHA, LOPA, MOC, and incident investigations
✅ Ability to develop and maintain dynamic operational entitlement models
✅ Excellent interpersonal skills with ability to work with cross-functional teams
✅ Strong communication skills, both oral and written
✅ Ability to provide off-hours plant support when needed
