Lead and manage the design of HVAC, plumbing, and mechanical systems while mentoring engineering staff and coordinating multi-discipline project efforts across teams.
Requirements: 🎓
✅ Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering required
✅ 5-8+ years of experience in mechanical building systems within a consulting engineering environment
✅ Professional Engineer (PE) license required (Maryland or eligible via reciprocity)
✅ Working knowledge of Autodesk Revit and AutoCAD
✅ Experience with HVAC, plumbing, and mechanical systems design for new construction and renovations
✅ Ability to develop and review design approaches, methodologies, and calculations
✅ Experience preparing and coordinating drawings, specifications, and technical documents
✅ QA/QC review experience to ensure quality and accuracy
✅ Proven ability to mentor and provide technical guidance to engineering staff
✅ Experience with construction administration including site visits, RFIs, and shop drawing reviews
✅ Knowledge of codes, standards, and quality control procedures
✅ Active or obtainable security clearance
✅ Must be authorized to work for any U.S. employer without sponsorship now or in the future
