Non-Negotiables

  • You must hold a bachelor's degree in electrical engineering or a closely related field.
  • You must have at least five years of experience in industrial controls and automation.
  • You must demonstrate proficiency with Allen-Bradley ControlLogix PLCs, PowerFlex drives, and HMI platforms such as PanelView, Wonderware, or Ignition.
  • You must possess experience with SCADA systems, networking, and Windows/VMware infrastructure.
  • You must have strong analytical and troubleshooting skills.
  • You must be able to work flexible hours to meet project and support needs.
  • You must exhibit excellent communication and cross-functional collaboration skills.

Responsibilities

  • Design and implement automated control systems with both automatic and manual modes to enhance mine operations.
  • Develop and integrate Human-Machine Interfaces (HMIs) for effective operator control and real-time monitoring.
  • Establish and maintain a Factory Information System that provides real-time data access throughout mine operations.
  • Provide technical support for integrating standalone components into centralized control systems.
  • Collaborate with operations and maintenance teams to ensure system reliability and safety across all shifts.
  • Troubleshoot and optimize PLCs, drives, instrumentation, and network infrastructure for peak performance.
  • Support the commissioning of new equipment and capital projects while maintaining documentation and compliance with safety and quality standards.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with CMMS (Computerized Maintenance Management Systems) is preferred.
  • The ability to work both first and third shifts is highly desirable.
  • Knowledge of federal mining laws (MSHA) will distinguish your application.
  • Familiarity with mining methods and the operation of related equipment is a plus.
  • Experience in the installation, maintenance, or operation of mine ventilation and materials processing/handling systems is valued.
  • Background in mine shaft maintenance will be considered favorably.
